I read "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone". I have read this book in Japanese before.
Main character is Harry Potter. He is an orphan. His parents were killed by Voldemort. His parents were witch. So He cans use magic. And when he is 11 years old, he was invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is famous witch school. He make many friends in there. They spend severe study and the days of ascetic practices to become an excellent magician.
It is very famous book. I want to this Harry Potter series books in English.

In the mountains of Transylvania there stands a castle. It is the home of Count Dracula. It is dark, lonely place, and at night the wolves howl around the walls. Jonathan does not really want to go because in a few month’s time he is getting married to his beautiful Mina, and he’s does not want to leave her. It is little horror story. I felt scary.

I like Jeniffer Lopez very much. So I choose this book.
Her movies are on TV. Her music is on the radio. She is a Hollywood star and successful singer. Today, she is the number one Latin actress in the United States. She is not only beautiful. She is interesting, too. She went to the Holy Family Catholic School in New York. It is a good school and she is good student. The school years go quickly. Jennifer is not a little girl now. She goes to her dance school every day. She works well. Then she starts to look far a job. It is 1988. there were many good dancers in New York. They were all looking for work, but there aren’t many jobs. She is wrong. The theater show, Golden Musicals of Broadway, wants dancers. She goes for an audition and gets a job. The show goes to Europe. Then, after five months, she starts a job with a new show, Synchronicity. This shows goes to Japan.
She is a very good dancer now. And she is beautiful, too. She is fan. And she is Latin. She gets some interesting work in music. She dances on the music video of famous singers, and she meets important people in the music business.
“ I am always going to be Latina. That is me.”
Jeniffer’s success is good for Latin Americans. She knows that. Before the 1990s, “Latin” was about people with little money and life. In music and in movies, Latin performers are suddenly very popular. Julio Iglesias, Ricky Martin, and Marc Anthony are all big names. And now there are women, too. And who is number one? Jennifer Lopez, of course.

I read “ David Beckham”. Do you know him?? I think most people know him.
He is captain of England and famous for his Number 7 shirt at Manchester United , is now playing for Real Madrid.
In 1975, David Beckham came into the world in Leytonstone, in London. His parents were big foot ball fans. Every Christmas little David had a new football and a new football shirts from his father. It was always a Manchester United shirt. The family lived in London, but his father was a very big fan of “the reds”. David wasn’t very good at school. Schoolwork wasn’t interesting or important to him. But he liked playing football. He played with a ball every weekend and every evening after school. His father was good teacher for him. David was small and shin. But his legs were strong. He did long kicks and short kicks, again and again every day. When he was 16, he was a boy player for Manchester United. He became good football player.

Diana and Charles have problems, they were unhappy. William knows it. Prince Charles and Princess Diana don't live in the same house. William lives with Diana. Prince Charles and Princess Diana divorce in 1996. After that, holidays with their mother and father are never the same for William.
Willam goes to England's famous school for boys. It is friendly school. He is very happy there, and he has many friends in there. William sometimes go shopping with his friends. Photographers go after them and take photographs. William doesn't like this. Newsreporter write stories about his unhappy mother and father. This makes him very unhappy.
In 1997, Prncess Diana is dead, in a car accident. She is only 36 years old. William go to charch with their father. Charles and William go to London and look at the thousands of flowers near Kensington Palace. Diana was a good mother. She wanted to teach them about people.
Now, William like s his school and has some very good friends there. He loves Highgrove House., and he goes there at weekends and in the school holidays. It is quiet there. There are no reporters, photographeres. William is a young man, but one day he is going to be King of England. He knows this, but he doesn't think about it all the time. William is a Prince, but he is his mother's son. He has her blue eyes and friendly smile. She was the 'People's Princess', William is the 'People's Prince'.

I read 'Mike's lucky day'. Mike is an assistant van driver. He likes his job. One day, he meets Jennifer in her father's shop. He likes her very much. He talkd her 'Can you come cinema with me?' She said 'Yes'. Mike is going to meet with her at 8:00. At 7:30, he lost his house key, and he don't have money. There is in his house. He tried to enter the house. He found an open window. There is a drainpipe nearr it. He climbs up the drainpipe. He climbs through the window into his bedroom. He found house key, money. But he stopped by policeman. He took Mike to the police station. Policeman ask him, 'Do you often climb through windows into houses?'. Police man doubted him with a thief. He tells his story again and again . Finally, Police man understood it. He went to cinema. He was very very late. She was not in there. She got angry. She didn't answer his calling. Mike wrote a letter for her. He wrote ' Please come to Coffee shop'. She went to Coffee shop. Jeniffer forgive him.
This book title is Mike's lucky day. But is it lucky day? I think the day was unlucky.

I read the book 'Animal in Danger'.

Every year some species of animal disappear. We never see them again.

Why are the animals in danger??

Long long ago, there were a lot more species of animal than there are now. Some animals die because of small changes in the weather. And most animals are in danger from our behaviour. We can't protect animals. We put new buildings on empty land and don't think about animals. We make new roads, we move rivers, we take away trees. some people hunt and kill animals. They don't kill the animals for food, because they like hunting!!Elephant die because people want ivory. Rhinoceros die because people want to buy their horns. Some people make a lot of money from animals. Whales are also in danger from hunting. Now, most countries stopped hunting a number of years ago, but it is difficult to waych ships and protect animals.

What can I do??

We can stop animals dying. Everyone can do thing in a small way. For example we ride bicycle instead of car, please stop wearing the leopard skin coat. A coat from a dead animal isn't beautiful. Don't you think so?? I think everyone have to do something for animals. If there are not animals in the world, we can't live. Animals is so important. We should think about animal in danger!!

I read 'England' this week. England is very famous country. Millions of people visit England from all over the world.

There are many exciting and interestung places to see. London has more than nine million visitors every year. They visit building of England. The Tower of London,St Paul's Cathedral, the House of Parlliament, the Tate Modern. Backinghm palace is the Queen's London home. It is so big palace. And it is gogeous. It is at the end of a long road called The Mall. On some days you can see the Queen's flag. It is Royal Standard. Then you know she is staying at the palace. Middle photograph is Backinghm Palace.
Many of the world's most famous fasion designers have shops in London. Versace, Donna karan and Calvan Klein all have shos here. And every year in February and September, there is an important fasion event. It is called London Fashion week. Many npeople from over the world come to London, and see England's wonderful new clothes. In the 1960s, fashion designer Mary Quant invented the mini-skirt. It made her famous all round the world. An upper photograph is logo of Mary Quant.

England have old history. I have been to there once. I like England, because England have beautiful cities, building, and history. I want to visit England's beautiful and exciting place. And I like Mary Quant. Its cosmetics and clothes are very pretty. So I want to go shopping in London!!

I read 'Washington D.C.' this week.
Washington D.C. is the capital city of the United States of America. Twenty million visitors come here every year, from all countries of the world. But many visitors are Americans. They want to see the home of their President, and home of the government. It is a city of beautiful parks, great buildings and monuments. There are very many things visitors to see and do.
In 1789, the United States of America was a new country. George Washington became President. He named the land the District of Colombia. By1899, about 3000 people lived in washington D.C. Today, more than 700000 people live in america's capital city.
White House is the most famous place in America. It is the home of the President of the United States. White House was made in 1800. The White House has 132 rooms, 412 doors and 147 windows. You can look around some of the rooms in the house betweeb ten o'clock in the morning and twelve o'clock. It is free, but the house is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Upper the photograph is the White House.
Washington D.C. is big city. There are museam,Memorial, Monument,Castle... And you will enjoy to shopping. There are big shopping senter. I want to go there!!

I read ' Titanic' this week. I watched movie 'Titanic' before.
The Titanic was the most famous ship in history. It was gogeous ship. 15000 people made the titanic. They made it in 1912 in Balfast, Northern Ireland. It was the biggest ship in the world. it was 24900 tons, 265 metres lonf, and 28 metres across. It could go at 46 kilometers an hour,, so it was one of the fastest ship in the world, too. Thomos Andrew was the designer of the Titanic. He was first class passengers. He talked ' Titanic is very safe, this ship can never sink'.
Is it true??...
On the night of 14 April the sea was Quiet. The weather was goode, but it was so cold. Then, two sailors looked out at the sky. Sailor saw something in the front of the ship. It was so big. It was iceberg!! It was not far away!! He called officer, and said about it. The iceberg came nearerand nearer. The iceberg hits the ships!!
Andreaw understood about this crisis, and said ' The ship is going to sink'. the captain made the emergency message. But Nobody was listening. There was nothing to help Titanic....
The Titanic had twenty life boats. These life boats could carry 1,178 people, but there were 2207 people on the ship. Harf of the people, there was no lifeboat.
First, women and children went to lifeboat. So men have to wait on the ship. Woman parted with her hasband, child parted thier father. It was so sad story. There were first class, second class, third class passengers on the ship. Almost Third passender couldn't get the life boat.
The Titanic gradually went to sink.
Finally more than one thousand peoole died. Why was it become the result? The life boat could take 60 people. but, someome life boats didn't take many people. One boat taked only 12 peoples. And some empty life boats didn't go to help. They only watched the person who is drowned. Only one boat went back to people in the water, but itwas too late. Nearly everyone was dead in the cold water.

I think every lifeboats have to go back to help. Returned to help only one boat. It is too terrible.

Do you know Diana? I think alomst people know about her. She was princess of Wales. She was so famous. She is beautiful. She was just 20 years old when she married prince Prince Charles. when she was sixteen, Diana went to London and workedin schools for young children. So she liked children very much. Diana's sister Sarah was a friend of the Queen's son, Prince charles. Diana and Charles gradually became good friends. She and charles talked for a long time. They laughed a lot. Soon she became his girlfriend.
ay first Diana was happy with Charles. 1982, their first son, Prince William was born. She was so happy. However she had problem of divorce. After divorce, she helping people. For example, she visted people with Aids, and children in hospital, old people. Diana helped many charities. She was the greatest woman.
September 1997 the accident occured. It was car accident. Diana died. It is so famous story of diana.
